Summer Ball

Summer Ball 2016

Summer Ball is an elite All-Star program that starts July 1st and lasts through to the first week in August for most teams. Teams are determined by Try-outs.

Tadpole Summer Ball 8U – play exhibition games during the month of July and a season ending tournament near the end of July. Pitching machine used.

Tadpole Summer Ball 9U – Play in an interlock league with other associations.  There are several tournaments available for entry.  Concludes with season ending tournament near the end of July. Modified Mosquito rules are used, with live pitching in every inning. This league travels to other associations' parks (such as Surrey, Newton, North Delta, Ladner, etc.) for games.

Mosquito Summer Ball season runs from July 1st to the end of the August Long Weekend. Games are 2 times per week plus weekend tournaments. Teams that are successful in the Summer League qualify for Provincials. (Mosquito A – Richmond July 28-August 1), (Mosquito AAA T2 Kelowna July 28 – August 1).

Pee Wee Summer Ball seasons runs from July 1st through most of August. Games are played throughout the Lower Mainland with successful teams qualifying for Provincials. (July 29 – August 2 – Mission/Cloverdale TBD)

2016 Summer Teams:

It is the intention of North Langley Baseball to field the following teams:

Pee Wee AA (2003/2004)

Pee Wee A (2003/2004)

Mosquito AAA tier 2 (2005/2006)

Mosquito A (2006)

Tadpole 9U (2nd years, 2007)

Tadpole 8U (1st yrs and super 7 2008/2009)

Of course this is player and coach dependent. Prior to scheduling tryout sessions it is necessary for us to know if there is interest in summer ball for each of these teams, both players and coaches. If you are interested in trying out we ask that you send an email to your divisional coordinator. 

If you are a coach interested in applying for the team we ask that you advise your divisional coordinator by email and complete the on-line coaching application which can be found on our website. COACHING APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MAY 27, 2016.

Coaching levels required:

Summer Ball coaches must have the following NCCP certification levels:

Tadpole – Initiation Trained status ( preferred but not required)

Mosquito A, AAA – One coach to have Regional Coach Trained Status. All other coaches must be Initiation Coach Trained status.

Pee Wee A – One coach to have Regional Coach Trained Status. All other coaches must be Initiation Coach Trained status.

Pee Wee AA – All coaches to have Regional Coach Trained Status.



Tadpole/Super7 - $125

Mosquito - $140

Pee Wee - $150

Pee Wee AA $160

These costs cover;

- Administration fees

- Umpire fees for scheduled league games

- Provincial entry fees (if team qualifies) (fees only; associated travel/accommodation costs not covered)

Note: all other associated costs are to be covered by the team ie: tournament entry fees, exhibition game costs and extra team apparel.

League jerseys will be provided for the teams.  If the team decides to purchase their own jerseys they are free to do so at their own cost.  Jerseys are required to have the North Langley crest and executive approval on design.

Summer Ball Team Fees

Please Note:  All players will be responsible for  extra Teams fees for Summer play. These can include umpire fees for exhibition games, extra uniforms, tournament fees  and any other expenses incurred as a team.
