Interested in Softball Umpiring?

The Langley Umpires Association is recruiting softball umpires for the 2018!

Umpires have to be at least 11 years of age, enjoy the sport of fast-pitch softball, and have a willingness to learn and be a part of the umpiring fraternity across Canada. There are many training opportunities for new umpires, and a great support network in the Langley area.

If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Umpire-In-Chief Paul Muirhead at

  • See Specific Divisions for NLDS House Rules
  • Umpire's are issued a current Softball Canada rule book at certification clinics.  For copyright reasons there is no electronic version of SBC Rule Book.
  • Confused about a rule or rule interpretation? Visit the softball BC umpire section. The softball Canada Umpires Case Book is a great resource for rulings.
