The Fusion 04A had a very successful weekend, after blowing a 6th inning lead against the Pride 04A on Friday night and tying 7-7, they proceeded to reel off 7 consecutive victories, 4 round robin and 3 playoff games, from Saturday morning to Monday night, winning all games handily.
This was a great accomplishment for the program, as the Pride and Power tournament has historically been the best A tournament locally, beside provincials, and puts a stamp on expectations for provincials.
Great job girls and coaches!
After finishing with 1 win and 4 losses in the round robin the Fusion 2001A
began their road to becoming champions, with 4 straight wins knocking out
last year's National Champion Surrey Storm 2001A with a 7-3 win in the
semi-final and then went on to beat the Victoria Devils 2000A in the final
by a score of 7-6, backed by a Sydney Wood out of the park home run and the
pitching of Kyra Wiens.
Another win for the Fusion program at the Pride and Power!
Congratulations to the North Langley Mite Select team.
Another GOLD medal win under their belt. This time at the Richmond Super U10 tournament.
The team went 7-0 throughout the weekend... they beat the Cloverdale Fury to get to the gold medal game where they had a decisive 10-2 win over the Tri-city Titans.
The team is now gearing up for the Provincials!!
